Verdicchio Bianco Grape
White Grape
The Verdicchio Bianco grape, white grape, is grown in the regions of Abruzzo, Apulia, Calabria, Emilia-Romagna, Latium, Marche, Molise, Sardinia, Tuscany and Umbria.
Verdicchio Bianco is a vine considered indigenous to the Marche, even if its origins are uncertain but very ancient, as it was already mentioned by Columella. It is widespread above all in the Esino valley.
Characteristics of the wine
From the vinification of Verdicchio Bianco grapes, a straw yellow colored wine with greenish reflections is obtained. The nose is fruity with strong notes of bitter almond. On the palate it is fresh, savory, full-bodied, also suitable for short aging.
