Verdeca Grape
White Grape
The Verdeca grape, a white grape, is grown in the Apulia, Basilicata and Campania regions.
Verdeca is a vine of rather uncertain origins that plays an important role in Apulian viticulture and beyond. The only certain information attest to its widespread and historical cultivation in the provinces of Taranto and Bari.
Characteristics of the wine
From the vinification of Verdeca grapes we obtain a straw yellow wine tending to greenish. The nose is delicate and pleasantly fruity, with hints of pineapple and pleasant citrus nuances with hints of bergamot. It has a fresh, savory and persistent taste.
