Pecorino Grape
White Grape
The Pecorino white grape variety is grown in the Abruzzo, Lazio, Marche and Umbria regions.
Pecorino is a vine originating from the Marches, widespread in particular on the ridge of the Sibillini Mountains (as evidenced by the ampelographic bulletin of 1875). Towards the end of the Eighties, thanks to the commitment of Guido Cocci Grifoni, it was introduced in the surroundings of Offida and Ripatransone (Ascoli Piceno).
Characteristics of the wine
From the vinification of the Pecorino grape, a straw yellow colored wine with greenish reflections is obtained. The aromas are typical of tropical fruit and white flowers, broom, acacia, jasmine, with a finish of good persistence.
