Cococciola Grape
White Grape
The Cococciola white grape variety is grown in the Abruzzo and Apulia regions.
Little information about the origin of the vine is available from Cococciola. The French ampelographers, Viala and Vermorel, in 1909 simply indicate it as a vine of Abruzzese origin, while the customs of the winemakers provided for the assembly with other varieties grown in Abruzzo, which converged in the white wine par excellence of the region, which is Trebbiano d’Abruzzo DOC.
Characteristics of the wine
From the Cococciola grape vinified in purity, a straw yellow wine with delicate aromas of spring white flowers and marked citrus sensations of grapefruit and lemon is obtained. In the mouth a pleasant flavor prevails and a persistent and pleasant finish.
